Have your say over new town parking bye-laws

PEOPLE can now make representa­tions to Louth County Council in relation to the proposed new parking bye-laws for Drogheda.

A copy of The Borough District of Drogheda Draft Car Park Bye-Laws 2018 will be available for public inspection during normal office hours at: The offices of the Louth County Council, Fair Street, Drogheda and The offices of Louth County Council, County Hall, Millennium Centre, St. Alphonsus Road, Dundalk until Thursday 10th May 2018.

A copy of the draft Bye-Laws may be purchased on payment of the prescribed fee of €7

The Municipal District Members of the Borough District of Drogheda will consider any written submission­s in relation to the Draft Bye-Laws which are made in writing addressed to the undersigne­d on or before Friday 25th May 2018.

The bye-laws are to be addressed under Section 101 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 and for the purpose of specifying the classes of vehicles that may use the car parks, the charges to be made for such use, the periods for which vehicles may remain parked and to provide for the services of notices imposing fixed charges in accordance with section 3(2) (inserted by section 46 of the Road Traffic Act 2010) of the Local Authoritie­s (Traffic Wardens) Act, 1975.
