Long but worthwhile trip to the peninsula for Dreadnots
DREADNOTS COOLEY KICKHAMS 1-15 0-10
DREADNOTS made it a successful trip to Fr McEvoy Park on Sunday afternoon as they cruised to an eight point victory.
There wasn’t much to choose between the teams in the opening period but a goal from Carl Monaghan after the break proved decisive as the Clogherhead men returned home with a comfortable win.
In a game where Pauric Smith and Fearghal Malone led the way for their teams with some impressive scores, it was delicately balanced at half time as the visitors led by 0-7 to 0-5.
The second half saw the Dreadnots move up a gear as Peter Kirwan and James Califf weighed in with scores. However, it was Monaghan who produced the all-important goal to help secure a deserved win for his team.
