WOLFE TONES

LAST week’s lotto numbers were 5, 12,19, 22. The €20 winners were: P. Kinch, Noah and Luke Andrews, Kieran Mullvey. The jackpot wasn’t won and rises to €2,120 THE Dundalk Gaels under-8 team enjoyed the honour of playing in Croke Park last week against a team from Westmeath.

It was their first time running out onto the hallowed turf and they did not let the occasion get the better of them.

The stand was full of proud family and friends cheering

CAMOGIE

both teams on, with a sea of blue and white flags waving in the air.

The game itself was a battle of wills between two strong sides. The Gaels came out on top at half time with a good lead.

But the Westmeath team came out fighting in the second half and drew level going into the last few minutes.

The Gaels management looked worried but the Gaels players themselves dug deep and rallied to score a winning goal.

Afterwards they lifted silverware on the Hogan Stand for the first time, but something tells us it won’t be the last!
