Ballymakenny Cross needs more measures

LOUTH County Council say they’ll look at adding more safety measures to Ballymakenny Cross.

Cllr Oliver Tully raised the situation and said the cross was simply not adequate.

‘ There is limited vision from the Ballymakenny side and there is a bridge and a bend coming from Drogheda. At times, vehicles go straight through the cross,’ he claimed. He said rumble strips were needed.

Cllr Kevin Callan said that €65,000 had been allocated for it in the budget and he wanted to see works done there.
