Old Louth film show at the Droichead on May 1
LOOK at Louth is presented in association with the Irish Film Archive and provides a glimpse of life in the wee county through the earliest film images available in the archive.
This Silver Screen event is ideally suited to local historians, nostalgists and archive film enthusiasts. It includes the earliest flickering images of Drogheda taken from a moving train by the frères Lumières in 1897 and the Bridge of the Ford, a documentary about Drogheda commissioned by the Medical Missionaries of Mary in 1948.
The film is on May 1 in the Droichead Arts Centre. €3 / Free for 55+
