Meeting focus on Europe

LOCAL people will get to have their say on the future direction of Europe at a Citizens’ Dialogue event in Meath County Council Offices in Navan, on Thursday, 19 April at 7pm.

The event is part of a nationwide series of citizens’ dialogues organised by the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade in partnershi­p with European Movement Ireland and is part of a conversati­on that is taking place across Europe.

Minister of State for European Affairs, Helen McEntee TD and Executive Director of European Movement Ireland, Noelle O’Connell will speak at the event.

Speaking at the launch of the process, Minister of State for European Affairs, Helen McEntee TD, said: “The EU must listen to its citizens. I would encourage everyone across Meath and Louth to get involved with this dialogue and to feed into the process. Your input is crucial to the future of the European Union.
