Drogheda Lions Club golf outing on Friday at Co Louth Golf Club

If you are a keen Golfer, why not join Drogheda Lions Club on Friday, 20th April for their 3rd Annual Golf Classic.

This event takes place in the County Louth Golf Club, Baltray. After your round of golf, you will be treated to a fantastic meal, served in the beautiful surroundin­gs of Baltray Links Course. Lions President, Franklin Fernandes, will present some top quality prizes to the overall winners as well as 2nd & 3rd places.

There are also prizes for Longest Drive, Nearest the Pin, a very keenly sought after prize of €500 for landing on the green and a very special prize for best dressed Golfer on the day.

All monies raised will go too directly to support Local Community Groups and activities.

Handball exhibition

MILLMOUNT handball club are delighted to announce that a number of top handball players have been lined up for their demonstrat­ion day on Sunday April 29 at St Mary’s DS from 2-5pm.

Ladies all-Ireland senior singles champion Martina McMahon from Limerick, ladies intermedia­te singles champion Megan McCann from Armagh , Mens all-Ireland intermedia­te singles champion David Hope from Offaly and minor singles champion Sean Kerr from Tyrone will be present along with handball president Joe Masterson who will be attending on the day. It’s a free event and promises to be for all the family.

St Pio devotions

St Pio devotions will take place in St Marys church Drogheda on Thursday 19th April, mass at 7.30pm followed by Eucharisti­c healing blessing with relic of St Pio,rosary at 7.05pm,all are very welcome.

Friends of Mal night

The Valley Inn presents a Luke Kelly Tribute, performed by Chris Kavanagh in aid of Friends Of Mal on Friday 20th April.

Tickets €12 each and are on sale from behind the bar. All sales go to the Friends of Mal fund.
