Blooming marvellous service earns praise

-

Dear Sir,

I am an ex-pat living outside Washington DC. I recently had a sudden death in the family. The morning of the funeral, I needed flowers in a few hours to go to Collon.

My friend gave me the phone number of Arbour Blooms in Drogheda. I called first thing nine o’clock and ordered quite an expensive arrangement for the casket, gave my American Express number and the girl promised to deliver to the house by 10.30am.

It arrived on time and was not just gorgeous (my nephew sent photos), and I was delighted.

What I did not know was the card number I gave was incorrect and no payment was taken.

That angel Ann-Marie called later that evening to let me know. She knew from my voice how important it was to me for the flowers to arrive on time, as I could not get here myself.

I shall never forget the kindness, as it was a very emotional time for me, so far away. I intend to find her when next I’m in Ireland, to thank her properly. Yours, Sarah Jane Bellew Potomac, Maryland USA.
