Local boys and girls will receive the Sacrament of Confirmati­on this Friday 20th April in the Sacred Heart Church Laytown at 3p.m. All are asked to be in the Church at least fifteen minutes before the ceremony commences. Bishop Michael Smith will confer the Sacrament. We hope have a wonderful day.

INDIGO ART EXHIBITION

A great treat in store for art lovers this weekend with the annual Indigo Art Exhibition. Taking place in the Church of Ireland Parish Rooms on the Laytown Road, the official opening takes place this Friday 20th April at 7.30p.m. Open on Saturday from 11a.m. until 5p.m. and Sunday 22nd April from 11a.m. until 5p.m. All are welcome.

DROGHEDA MARKET - STALL HOLDERS WANTED

Drogheda’s Open-Air Market takes place every Saturday morning in Bolton Square and Bolton St from 7.am to 2pm. The market offers freshly grown farm produce, Fresh cakes and bread, vegetables, Fruit, flowers, plants, clothing, hardware, homewares, toys, jewellery and fancy goods on a wide range of open air stalls

There is currently space for anyone who might be interested in taking up a regular stall, or car boot, the cost is €10 per pitch payable to the Market official every Saturday. This would be a great opportunit­y for anyone who wants to sell their craft and is looking for an outlet for their products please note that Bolton street is a NO through road during market hours in the interest of public safety and must be adhered to. ARTHRITIS AEROBICS

Arthritis Ireland Louth branch are starting their new programme of Aqua Aerobic classes. They have secured an arrangemen­t with Integral Gym in Greenhills. Classes are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 8pm and Fridays at 10.45 am. Cost is only €5 to Arthritis Ireland Louth branch. We also have a special discount rate of €7.50 for Monday and Wednesday classes at 10.45am. So, plenty of opportunit­y to get in the pool and getting those joints moving.

LAYTOWN I.C.A.

The local Guild members meet each Tuesday morning from 10.a.m. until 12 noon. In the Parish room Laytown, just across from the Church. The members carry out lots of craft work, knitting, sewing, patchwork, crochet etc. as well as lots of chat and a cuppa. They also have great plans for the new year.
