HUNTERSTOWN ROVERS ST MOCHTAS 4-10 1-8

IN the battle of two in-form sides it was Hunterstown Rovers who came out on top after turning in impressive display away to St Mochtas.

The victory sees the visitors remain top of the table alongside O Raghallaighs with three wins from their opening three outings.

Hunterstown Rovers got off to a flying start and on eight minutes Ryan Burns had the ball in the back of the net to keep his side on top. The Mochtas barely had time to recover from that blow when Burns added a second goal to put his side firmly in control.

The home side regrouped after that but at the break they were facing an uphill task as they went in trailing by 2-5 to 0-6.

Rovers made sure of victory when Brendan Lennon and Paul Carrie added goals inside the third quarter.

St Mochtas battled until the end and Cormac Smyth grabbed a consolation goal.
