Good displays by Dunleer crew
DUNLEER AC’s young athletes warmed up for next month’s Louth Track & Field Championships with some notable performances at the so-called Pre Championships in Drogheda’s Lourdes Stadium.
With events for boys and girls aged from Under-8 to Under-19 there was something for everyone and a lovely atmosphere prevailed.
There were great results across the board in the long jump, shot putt, turbo javelin, sprints, middle distance running and the ever-popular relays and an array of gold, silver and bronze medals awarded.
Training continues at the Dunleer track on Tuesday nights, Lourdes Stadium on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with the young athletes moving from Thursday to Tuesday nights.
