Mal and others will be recalled at CF 10k

-

THIS year’s annual Cystic Fibrosis (CF) 10K Run/Walk takes place in Duleek on April 29.

The event will recall all loved ones and this year, a new inspiration will be part of it all, Mal Reilly. Mal took part in the 10K and also previously sang on the day.

The aim is to increase awareness about CF and to add to the enormous €100,000 (net) raised by the event to date.

‘We need to thank our sponsors for their generosity year on year. They supply the high quality Technical T-Shirts & Medals. If you can sponsor the event, just visit our Facebook Page please. All proceeds to the local Drogheda Branch of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland. This year together with Kelley & Cathy, we are especially dedicating our 10K to a true gentleman Mal Reilly who we very sadly lost earlier this year,’ a spokesperson stated.

The CF 10K is a real celebration of all of their short but very full lives and they want everybody who holds Cystic Fibrosis close to their hearts to walk/run and even if you cannot take part, they would love to see you there on the day.

‘We are also looking for volunteers who might like to be a steward. We have lots of entertainment with Shane, Maurice, Niamh & Erin. Lots of refreshments, 3 water stations & three toilet facilities. When you have completed the run /walk Andrea from Body First will look after you!,’ they added.

They have another great ambassador for CF, Gerard Fay, who will be completing his 650K Challenge for the month of April when crossing the finish line at the Duleek Cystic Fibrosis 10K Remembrance Run/Walk.
