LOCAL DEVELOPMENTS
There is plenty of construction work in the village at the moment. The much needed extension to Scoil Naomh Feichin is certainly taking shape. Down the road towards the bridge the new housing development is also moving fast. However several people have expressed anger and concern as it appears this development has encroached into the grounds of the Church of the Immaculate Conception and some of the hedging in the Church grounds has been removed. Safety barriers have been erected in the Church grounds as there is a high drop between the two. Hopefully these concerns will be noted by the developers.
TIDY TOWNS
Much work is undertaken in our village in preparation for the annual Tidy Towns competition. Work has begun for this year’s competition and the Termonfeckin Tidy Towns Committee has organised a “Spring CleanUp for Saturday April 28th. The meeting point is at Termonfeckin Old Cemetery at 2pm sharp. All help is appreciated. Please bring your own implements if you are interested in helping out.
