Nash calls jobs boost ‘a vote of confidence’ for Drogheda

-

SPEAKING at the announcement of at least 70 new jobs for Drogheda, Senator Ged Nash said this was great news story for Drogheda and for Louth and Meath.

The new high containment packaging facility at the PCI Pharma Services facility in the Donore Industrial Estate, Drogheda, will specialise in the primary and secondary packaging of pharmaceutical products to the highest global standards.

‘During my period as a TD and when in government, I worked very hard to promote Drogheda for jobs and investment, and this investment is a real vote of confidence in the town,’ said the Labour Senator.

‘Millmount Healhcare, which was acquired by PCA started life as a small start-up in the incubation centre in the region and grew into a very substantial firm in its own right, and It is gratifying to see Pascal Keogh and his colleagues go from strength, and to see the operation they started 21 years ago being enabled to become a global player.’

Senator Nash says last week’s announcement is the continuation of a period of growth in the town.

‘ The Regional Action Plan for jobs, which I authored in late 2015, is delivering for Drogheda,’ he added.

‘IDA visits to the town has doubled in the past few years, and it’s starting to show benefits with investments like this and Celton Tech, Yapstone and Mobile Tech Global Corporation.’
