New facility shows commitment to town

THE HPRA-approved High Containment Packaging Facility now open on the Donore Road is the fourth facility to open as part of PCI Pharma Services Group’s offering in Ireland and is located close to one of its existing facilities also on the Donore Road.

PCI is a global leader in the manufacturing of highly potent molecules and CEO Bill Mitchell said as their fourth acquisition outside the US in the past four years, this expansion further demonstrates their ability to provide clients with a comprehensive solution to any uncertainty brought upon by ongoing negotiations between the UK and EU as a result of the evolving Brexit situation.

‘We operate across continental Europe and we know the culture of Ireland, and Pascal’s culture of business is similar to our own,’ said Mr Mitchell.

‘We could also see there was huge commitment from the local authorities.’

The site is 15,000 square feet and includes three filling rooms; three packing rooms; a 3,000 sq foot mezzanine floor; a dedicated on-site warehouse and office space.

Operators will be provided with high potent and PPE training and will wear suitable air breathing apparatus. The site will offer opportunities for recruitment across the third level educational hubs in Dundalk and Dublin.
