May Day procession

THE annual May Day procession of Our Lady of Fatima and St Joseph the Worker will take place in Drogheda on Tuesday May 1, assembling at the Lourdes Church at 6.45pm.

The procession is via Bothar Brugha, Georges Street and Narrow West Street to arrive for 7.30pm mass in St Peter’s church.

The procession is facilitated by the clergy of St Peter’s and will be attended by representatives of the council, Knights of St Columbanus, St John’s Ambulance, Red Cross, Order of Malta, Dominicans and a myriad of Marian and other fraternities and colour parties.

The Lourdes Brass Band will lead it. It will also promote prolife this year given the upcoming referendum.
