New primary care services to start from this week

-

SENATOR Ged Nash has confirmed that certain services will start to be delivered from the new Drogheda North Primary Care Centre at the Boyne Centre from this week.

He said, “I welcome the phased opening of this €4 million development which the Labour Party helped fund in the previous government.

“From Monday, community dental services will be delivered from the state of the art new building.

“From Tuesday 1st May, births, deaths and marriages will be registered at the facility.

“Over the coming weeks, services such as blood testing, wound management, community diabetes care, podiatry and other public and community health services will be delivered from the new centre.

“This is a long awaited development and I am proud to have played a central role in securing the money for this centre for Drogheda which will take pressure off Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and deliver key services in the heart of our community.”
