ARDEE AND DROGHEDA WALK IN THE LIGHT

THOUSANDS of people are set to take to the streets in Drogheda and Ardee this Saturday for the Darkness into Light fundraiser for Pieta House.

Drogheda has hosted the event for a few years but this will be the debut for Ardee.

The Drogheda event starts at 4.15am from the O’Raghallaigh’s GAA club on the North Road.

A number of businesses have come out in support of the event, including The Black Bull Inn on the Dublin Road who are opening for breakfast on the morning after the event. They will open at 5.30am till 10am. Groups of 6 or more need to book..They will be donating the profits on the morning to Pieta.

The Ardee Darkness Into Light also starts off at 4.15am from the Parish Centre in the town and up to 1,500 have already signed up.
