Complete the job at Abbey

IT is amazing to see how the old Abbey area has been transformed in the past year and more.

At one stage, it was overgrown and dirty but now it has been transformed.

But this should just be the start of the process.

I was down there last week and some rubbish, cans, etc, had been dumped inside the green gates, meaning they just couldn’t be picked up and cleared away.

There is a whole area going to waste here and all that it needs is a resurfacing job, and suddenly we have access from Narrow West Street at Callans right around to the Abbey Shopping Centre.

Hopefully, funding can be found to complete the job.

I must also say, the painting job is terrific and with the flower beds, it is a joy to behold at long last.
