Drumshallon set to be a big Fleadh attraction
On Saturday morning, Drumshallon forge was looking its best in the beautiful bank holiday sunshine and was delighted when as part of Drogheda Arts festival, a tour bus
en route to Beaulieu and Monasterboice, stopped of at the forge for tea, scones and a piece of Jenny’s famous drizzle cake, followed by music and dancing with the McEvoy family and Sandpit set dancers.
Everyone had a chance to show of their dancing skills but it was four little boys who stole the show, receiving tumultuous applause when they performed “The brush dance”.
The visitors had time for a quick look around the old forge house, fairy mound and garden. The Fleadh is next for Drumshallon!
