“FECKIN HOUSE” RAFFLE

The most talked about “Feckin Raffle” continues to make headlines. Just in case you haven’t heard, No. 57 Castlepark, Termonfeck­in, a 4 bedroom House worth over €280,000 could be yours, that is if you buy a ticket which costs €100.

The total prize fund is worth €300,000 as there are nine other fabulous prizes to be won. 2nd: Cruise worth €2000. 3rd: A Bathroom makeover to the value of €1,000 sponsored by Wogan Building Centre. 4th: A four ball on the internatio­nally renowned Baltray Links, prize includes a meal and wine for 4 people, sponsored by County Louth Golf Club and Michael Devine Catering. 5th: 55’’ LED TV sponsored by Michael Briscoe Electrix Expert. 6th: Night in the wonderful city of Barcelona sponsored by Arrow Tours. 7th: €1,000 voucher for Malone’s Garage. 8th: One year family membership for Integral Fitness and Leisure. 9th: A complement­ary pass for 2 people for one year to Earth Night Club, Drogheda. 10th: Overnight stay and dinner for two, In House Dublin, on Leeson Street. There is a limit of 8,000 tickets for this raffle and even though it is just over two weeks since the raffle was officially launched, ticket sales are flying and at this stage, over 4,500 have been sold already.

All money raised goes towards the new Community Centre which is intended to cater for the social, recreation­al and sporting needs of the community.

MACRA NA FEIRME

The Termonfeck­in Macra AGM will take place on May 9th in Sandpit Hall at 9pm. The Club is also organizing a day out to Dublin on Saturday May 26th. ST. FECHINS LOTTO

The numbers drawn were 8, 12, 18 and 24. There was no jackpot winner. The €100 winner was Nailer. Winners of €20 were Tom Sweeney, Karen Mulroy, Maurice & Gina Keane, Gerard Weldon and William Levins. The jackpot is worth €2,800 and is sponsored by Madden’s Centra, Termonfeck­in.

GOLF CLASSIC

FIRST COMMUNION

Our best wishes and prayers for all the children in Scoil Naomh Feichin who will receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion this Saturday May 12th in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at 11am. Let the day be a very enjoyable one for all of them. The celebrant for the ceremony will be Fr. Barry Mathews.

FR. DUFFY AND FR. JOHN

We welcome back Fr. John Akain to our Parish this weekend. Fr. John, a native of Cameroon and currently studying in Maynooth was with us recently and was certainly impressed with the welcome he received. Fr. John will celebrate all the Masses this weekend and no doubt he will receive the same very warm welcome. May we also remember Fr. Stephen Duffy in our prayers this weekend as he will be away celebratin­g his 70th birthday and also 43 years of Priestly Ministry. Congratula­tions and best wishes Fr. Duffy.

ROSARY

As May is the Month of the Rosary, there will be praying of the Rosary at the various Grottos in the Parish. This Thursday May 10th, the Rosary will be prayed at the Grotto in the grounds of Scoil Mhuire gan Smal at 7.30pm.

BROOMFIELD & DISTRICT WALKING GROUP

Broomfield and District Residents Associatio­n Walking Group have resumed their Tuesday evening walks 7 - 8 pm and will continue until September 2018. These are flat road, and off-road walks by lakes, rivers, and woodland. Male and female walkers of all walking abilities welcome to participat­e. Sunday walks continue all year round, 12 noon- 1 pm.
