Alzheimer’s golf classic outing to L & B club

THE annual golf classic in aid of the Drogheda Branch of the Alzheimer Society takes place at the Laytown and Bettystown golf club this Friday, (May 18)

The cost of entry per four-member team is €160. Tee times before 11am include a free breakfast. There are just a couple of tee-off times still available, with registration remaining open with Veronica Reilly at 086-6025043.

The Drogheda Alzheimer branch is currently undertaking intensive fund-raising to help provide a new Day Care Centre.

Meanwhile, the branch has thanked all who supported its National Tea Day event at the Barbican. All proceeds go to Tredagh Lodge day care centre.

The Drogheda branch’s next family support group meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 2 in The Stables, Bachelors Lane. All are welcome.

Meanwhile, the Alzheimer’s branch committee are calling on all runners and walkers to help raise funds for its building fund by taking part in this years’s Ladies Mini Marathon on Sunday June 3.
