Fleadh fever is hotting up!

-

IT’S great to see the town beginning to buzz with the August Fleadh just around the corner.

We are looking at up to 80,000 per day descending on the place for the latter end of the week and when you actually walk around the town, there are so many little spots that will make ideal locations for ‘sessions’.

From time to time, we’ll select a few different items associated with the Fleadh and this week, here’s three I came across.

The recent Fleadh day on Laurence’s Street was awesome, with so much talent around.

The big thing were the youthful faces and one thing we will not be short on are Irish dancers. The town is full of them - and they are all stars!

That event was a huge boost to the build up and maybe one or two more might be on the way.

Of course, Music at the Gate also showed off the best of Irish music and dance too the day before.

My third point is about the window at McPhail’s.

I spotted Ciaran Dunlevy in action here recently and what a work of art it is.
