WESTERNS ST NICHOLAS 3-19 0-3

WESTERNS recorded their third win of the campaign when they proved too strong for St Nicholas in Drogheda on Friday evening.

Ciaran Campbell was the scoring hero for the Reaghstown men as he bagged a personal tally of 2-6, while Jack Ogle weighed in with 1-3.

Despite fielding without Louth’s Tommy Durnin, the visitors were always on top in this encounter and goals from Campbell and Ogle had them in a commanding 2-7 to no score lead at the break.

The Westerns continued to dominate in the second half and a goal from Campbell helped them add 1-12 to their tally.

Despite enduring a difficult evening, the Nicks continued to battle and got their reward in the form of points from Declan Heeney, Kevin Walsh and Eddie Carr.
