NA PIARSAIGH SEAN MCDERMOTTS 0-13 2-6
NA Piarsaigh kept themselves in contention for league honours when they held on to defeat Sean McDermotts by a point in and exciting and entertaining ancounter at Mountrush on Friday night.
The Dundalk side had the better of the first half and by the half time whistle sounded they had built up a quite commanding 0-7 to 0-2 advantage.
The McDermotts battled their way back into the game with goals from Tony Kelly and Emmet Duffy but in the end Na Piarsaigh did just enough to hold on for a what was a probably a deserved victory.
The win keeps the Dundalk men in contention at the top of the table, two points behind leaders St Kevin’s and Dundalk Young Ireland, but crucially with a game on hand on both.
