ST Kevins remain joint top of the table with Young Irelands after a strong second half display saw them defeat Cuchulainn Gaels in Omeath on Friday night.
A number of the Philipstown players were involved in a road accident on the way to the match but fortunately they escaped without injury.
When the game got under way the Kevins were in fine form as the built up a six-point lead after the first quarter with the help of a James Clarke goal. However, the hosts finished the half on top and a Gavin Mullen goal cut the gap to just 1-6 to 1-5 at the break.
