NAOMH FIONNBARRA GLYDE RANGERS 2-10 1-8

NAOMH Fionnbarra remain in contention for Division 2 honours after a strong finish saw them record a five-point win over Glyde Rangers in Tallanstow­n.

The visitors started well and a goal from Jack Butterly helped them to lead by 1-2 to no score. The home side battled back to level with the help of points from Brian Duffy and Trevor O’Brien but just before the break Conor Lenehan pointed to put the Barrs 1-4 to 0-6 ahead.

Glyde impressed in the third quarter and a Paul Noone goal on 45 minutes put them 1-8 to 1-7 in front. However, they were unable to add to their tally as the Finbarrs finished on top and a second goal from Butterly sealed the win.
