Realt na Mara medals

REALT na Mara NS of Donacarney produced an impressive scoring performance but just came up short in their bid to reach the National Finals of the SPAR FAI Primary School 5s in Navan last week.

Competing in the section for large schools with boys or mixed teams, Realt na Mara defeated Bishop Foley NS 5-2 and Scoil Ui Riada 2-1 but lost 3-2 to Raheny’s Scoil Assaim who go on to represent Leinster in the finals at the Aviva Stadium.

There was some consolation for Realt na Mara as they received their runners-up medals from none other than Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill.
