Litter warden should pay a little visit to Bayview House

-

I WONDER what will happen with Bayview House.

A wonderful building on the Dublin Road in Drogheda - which can be viewed from the train station across the road - it remains an enormous hotpoint within the local community.

It has been the subject of planning applications, yet today it remains isolated and abandoned.

Worst still, it has become a dumping ground.

Not only are there dozens of black bags lying about the grounds - attracting huge rats by the way - but recently, a number of window frames were chucked over the wall, suggesting there is a lot worse to come.

Bayview House is an ideal location for something - what that is is the issue.

Access to the site is a problem in terms of traffic and accordingly what kind of development can take place on the site.

In an ideal world, an interpretive or study centre of some description would be a huge addition to the location.

But surely the time to save Bayview must come. terrible
