Seans move clear

SEAN MCDERMOTTS JOHN MITCHELS 2-9 1-11

SEAN McDermotts moved two points clear of John Mitchels after a narrow victory when the teams met in Mountrush on Sunday afternoon.

There was little to choose between the teams throughout the game but in the end goals from David McArdle and Emmet Duffy saw them prevail by a single point.

John Gallagher was in good form for the Mitchels and his points helped send his team in at the break level at six points apiece.

Ben O’Brien found the net for the visitors in the second half but goals from McArdle and Duffy along with points from Martin Duffy helped the McDermotts secure victory.
