ST KEVINS NH MALACHI 4-13 3-9

ST Kevins bounced back from their midweek defeat to Na Piarsaigh by coming out on top against Nh Malachi in a high scoring encounter at Courtbane.

After a relatively low-scoring first half the teams shared seven goals in the second period but it was the visitors who came through in the end thanks to two late goals from Paul Duff.

The Kevins had the better of the first half and points from Cian Callan and Patrick Clarke helped their side to lead by 0-6 to 0-2 at the short whistle.

The goal-action started early in the second half with Clarke striking first for the Kevins before Liam Boylan added their second. Duff grabbed a brace late in the game to help his side to the victory despite the Mals replying through Colin Hoey, Shane Rogers and Padraig Moley.
