New €10m publicly funded housing loan scheme
LOUTH County Councillors gave their support for a €10million drawdown scheme under the Publicly Funded Housing Loans initiative.
Director of Housing Joe McGuinness explained that the maximum draw down for 2018 is €10million from the Housing Finance Agency, and would be used for the funding of Housing Loans for private house purchases and construction, and for loans under the Tenant Incremental Purchase Scheme.
He added that since the scheme was launched on February 1st there had been 39 applications, and to date four granted and four refused.
Cllr. Marianne Butler said ‘ the sum of €10 million had to be welcomed.’
