No right turn needed at top of Dominic Street/West Street

-

THE junction on the right should be familiar with anyone who drives along West Street on a regular basis.

There you are, driving through Narrow West Street and suddenly you come to a stop sign to allow traffic up from Dominic Street.

That initself can confuse motorists, but for people not from the area, it’s another story.

I was walking past the Weavers last week when I came across a commotion.

A car coming along West Street arrived at the stop sign and was turning onto Dominic Street when they got a shout from a pedestrian to warn them.

Thing is, the ‘no entry’ signs are set back on the street and people have turned before they can see them.

There is no ‘no right turn’ sign on West Street (I think there used to be) while recent works on the main street has almost covered the STOP sign on the road.
