A MONSTROUS GOLF HOLE

Anyone who may be conversant with golf will know of the par three seventeenth hole at Sawgrass in America.

This is a hole that has destroyed many a card. One can have played the previous sixteen holes in say, five under par and take a six or more at this demon. I dread to think what the highest score that’s been scored at this hole. Probably in the teens. It does not look too difficult from the tee box. This may lure the player into a little bit of complacency. Been a par three the fairway is quite short. The green is like an island as its surrounded by water. Neither is it an expansive green. It’s relatively small. In fact its known as the “postage stamp”. At the end of the fairway, there is a very narrow strip of grass, which leads to the green. When one just focuses their vision on the narrow strip and green, one could say it looks very much like E.T with no eyes. A monster indeed.
