Rent your house for the Fleadh

-

The Fleadh Accommodation Committee are hosting a public meeting on Monday 11th June at 7.00pm in The West Court Hotel. “It’s open to everyone. Whether you’ve already registered your house or are just curious to find out more, you’re very welcome to come along.”

It’s one of the big Fleadh traditions that visitors rent out houses, or rooms in a house, from local people in the host town. Fleadh-goers are looking to rent houses within easy reach of Drogheda. Their kids attend music classes in the morning, they have lunch together and then head down town to enjoy the music and fun. Essentially, they are looking for a home away from home.

Eddie continues “The meeting will run for about an hour and will include details on how to register, what happens next, how to take a booking and even includes tips on how to be a great Fleadh host. There’ll be a Q&A session for anyone who has accommodation queries and we’ll also have a one-to-one clinic for homeowners with more specific questions.”

Eddie concludes “If you can’t make it to the meeting but are interested in renting out your house or a room in your house visit www.FleadhCheoil.ie. Alternatively call Anne Marie or Lisa in the Fleadh Accommodation Office 041 9876111, they’ll be happy to help.”

Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann takes place in Drogheda from 12-19th August 2018 and again from 13-20th August 2019. It’s the world’s largest annual celebration of Irish music, language, song and dance and it’s expected to bring over 350,000 visitors to Drogheda to join in the celebration
