Silverstream Priory thriving

-

ON Thursday, 31 May, under radiantly sunny skies, the Benedictine Monks at Silverstream Priory, Stamullen, Co Meath held the procession with the Blessed Sacrament that traditionally marks the feast of Corpus Christi.

The procession, attracting a number of local people, wound its way through the monastery woodlands that, at all other times, are off–limits to outsiders.

The Benedictine community at Silverstream, known for its Gregorian Chant, is thriving, with vocations coming both from Ireland and from abroad.
