- By ALISON COMYN

CLOGHERHEAD is ready to rock to the sounds of The Riptide Movement and more again this year, as it welcomes the Seafood Rocks Festival back for a second time.

The nautical themed seafood and music festival will once again transport families on a seafaring journey fully loaded with food, music and live theatrics.

Dropping anchor in Clogherhead, Co. Louth from 13th – 15th July #SFR2018 brings a bountiful weekend full of movies, music, competitions, comedy, adventure zones, street performers, street art, magicians, drama, dancing, and an unrivalled selection of delicious seafood offerings.

“Last year was such a success, we put Clogherhead on the festival map and we want to build on that,” explains organiser Damien from Red Fish Events.

“There is something for everyone including music, food and family fun and we’re bringing back The SeafoodRocks Participation Challenges. We’ve taken all the good activities from last year’s inaugural event, introduced lots more so we know that this year is going to be epic.”

If you like your music, as part of their Coast to Coast Tour, The Riptide Movement will headline the main stage on Sunday night, and The Hit Machine Drummers will headline on Saturday, while Abbey Lane Studios will be hosting a fantastic selection of music on our The Smugglers Rest outdoor stage.

Cooking up a storm in the food theatre will be celeb chef Tara Walker, as well as, seafood prep demos from local mongers and food talks from bloggers and food influencers.

The Rocks Theatre is a new addition this year and will be a one stop shop for pure family fun. Entertainment from Jack Wise, Street Theatre Ireland and Corvenieos is not to be missed over the duration of the weekend.
