Blessing of the Graves in St Peter’s cemetery on June 24
THE blessing of the graves take place on Sunday June 24 in St Peter’s Cemetery at 3pm and at Newtown Cross on the same day at 5pm.
Chamber agm
THE 124th Annual General Meeting of Drogheda Chamber will be held on Thursday 7th June at 6:15pm in Scholars Townhouse Hotel (Registration from 5.30 p.m.)
The AGM will be followed by a Drogheda and District Chamber Summer BBQ which will serve as an ideal opportunity for networking and a relaxed evening.
Both members and non-members are welcome to attend the social element of the evening.

Ardee Hospice fundraiser
Dromin Fundraiser Cycle in aid of Ardee Hospice Homecare will be held on June 30th.
If you would like to do the cycle you can register on the morning of the cycle from 8:30 am. Bbq and music that night in The Village Saloon
Round the Head swim
The Round the Head Swim takes place from Clogherhead Lifeboat Station on July 14th next.
Clogherhead provides swimmers with an opportunity to be very close to nature and see at close quarters the geographical features like Redman’s Cave as you circumnavigate the head.
During the swim there will be a number of boats, kayakers, paddle boarders and members of the local Coastguard on duty.
The water temp is likely to be between 12 C and 14 C. All candidates should have swan in similar conditions and swam at least 1.5 K in the open water within the previous 3 months.
Junior swimmers, under 16 years old, must have a parent or guardian sign on their behalf. The organising committee have the final say in participants entry to the event.
Ras na Ri
Fun Run, Jog or Walk in aid of Knockcommon NS - followed by refreshments - on June 17th next. The Rás na Rí 6k starts at 2pm from the school.
St Anthony’s novena in St Peter’s church
St Anthony’s Novena takes place until Wednesday June 13 at St Peter’s Church. Preacher is Fr Liam McCarthy OFM, Killarney Friary.
Masses at 10.30am and 7.30pm daily expect Saturday, 9th, 10.30am and 6.15pm. Sunday June 10 - Mass at 11am, Holy Hour 7.30pm.
Wednesday June 13 - Blessing of lillies at both masses, blessing of children at 4pm and closing mass at 7.30pm.
All are welcome to attend.
Pilgrim walk
The St Oliver’s Pilgrim Walk, organised by the Knights of St Columbanus, will take place on Friday and Saturday, June 29th and 30th.
