CHILDLINE VOLUNTEERS
The Drogheda branch of the ISPCC is recruiting for our Childline service and our next training course is due to start at the end of September. We recruit volunteers from all over the Louth and Meath area and are eager to add to our fantastic team. We are currently recruiting volunteers for Monday and Tuesday afternoons. The first step in becoming a volunteer is to attend an information evening (on one of a choice of evenings).
This is an opportunity for people to come along and hear about the service, and what is involved in volunteering. They would also have a chance to hear from an already active volunteer. I have scheduled these for Monday 18th and Wednesday 20th June.
All sessions will begin at 6.30pm, and anyone interested is invited to attend. They will be held at our office here in Drogheda (Distillery House, Dyer Street, Drogheda, Co Louth). Anyone interested in attending one of the information evenings should contact me on 041-9809964 or dlambe@ispcc.ie to book a place.

The greatest Irish Traditional Music festival in the world, Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann will be hosted in Drogheda from August 12th to 19th next and will attract in the region of half-a-million visitors to the Boyneside town.
If you feel that you would perhaps like to help out in this extravaganza in mid August then you can contact the Fleadh Cheoil local Volunteer Centre at Bolton Street Drogheda (Where the Saturday morning market is held), or by contacting by e mail to fleadh@volunteerlouth.ie or by telephoning 041-9809008.
