NA PIARSAIGH CUCHULAINN GAELS 5-9 1-5

NA Piarsaigh maintained their push for Division 3 honours when they had a comfortable home victory over Cuchulainn Gaels on Friday night.

The Omeath side battled gamely throughout this encounter but without a number of regulars they faded in the closing stages.

The first score of the match was a well worked move finished off by Eamonn McAuley scoring a goal.

Points followed by Niall Franklin, Mark Larkin, Alan McCartney, David Boyle and Fergal Mulholland.

Cian McDonald found the net for the visitors early in the second half and it looked as if a shock might be in store.

However, that was as close as the Gaels got as Na Piarsaigh responded to the challenge in impressive style. Goals flowed throughout the game with Mark Larkin scoring 1:4 in total and David Boyle getting the last three scores, all goals, to bring his tally for the day to 3-1.
