O’CONNELLS HUNTERSTOWN ROVERS 2-16 0-7

O’CONNELLS moved into third place in the Division 2 table after recording their fourth win in a row at home to Hunterstown Rovers.

The Bellingham side raced into a 0-7 to 0-1 lead, but two points within a minute from Brennan and Glen Matthews and another one from Paul Carrie reduced the margin to three 0-7 to 0-4 after 20 minutes.

Points from Sean Connolly and Stanfield increased the lead to five but Rovers got the next three from Alan Landy, David Finn and Robert McNiece to make it a two point game.

The home side got the last two points of the half from Byrne and Quigley to leave them leading at the break 0-11 to 0-7.
