NEXT Saturday will be a very busy time for members who will be fund-raising for the national Féile underage football festival. Our club will be hosting the British champions Warwickshire. Already we had a successful Table Quiz and next weekend we will have a 5k sponsored run at Oldbridge on Saturday morning. That evening we will be organising the much anticipated Legent’s game at 7pm. The response to this event has been great so we expect a big attendance and a lot of fun! There has been plenty of games for both adult teams of late and all performing well. We won our fair share or were narrowly beaten which is pleasing as we prepare for the upcoming championship engagements. The Nursery training sessions continue each Saturday morning and new members are welcome at all times. The weekly Lotto jackpot was not won and it now stands at €5,650. The numbers drawn were 17, 21, 23 and 25. The €20 quick-pick winners were Peadar McKenna, Niall Murtagh, Frank McArdle, P& B Farrell and Anthony Rooney. Our sincere condolences to Na Gaeil club in Dundalk at the tragic death of one of their players while on holiday abroard.
