THERE was a great turnout for the MacBride Club Strokeplay which took place on Friday evening last in wonderful weather conditions.

The Gents Senior Grade was won by Pádraic Sarsfield with a superb -20 par score of 88. Barry Thornton was second with 92 (back nines). Other results:

Gents Inter winner Ray McKenna 102, 2nd Darren Dooley 108 (ob9s); Gents Junior winner John Donnelly 119; Ladies winner Anne Fagan 129.

In last Tuesday club lotto the numbers were 3, 4, 11 & 26 and the lucky dip winners were Jake, Ray McKenna and Noelene Bedford. The next draw will take place on Tuesday June 19th and the jackpot prize will be €3,250. Thank you for your continued support.

Congratulations to club member Audrey Donnelly who won the Ladies grade of the Louth Down Monaghan Regional Strokeplay Championship in Seapoint on Sunday. Congratulations also to Sean Goggin who won the Gents Senior grade with a great score of -17 under par 91.

We would like to wish good luck to MacBride club members taking part in the Leinster Strokeplay Finals this weekend - Audrey Donnelly in the Ladies grade, Pat Gorman in the Gents Junior grade, Liam Flood and Ray McKenna in the Gents Inter grade and Sean Goggin, Barry Thornton and David O’Brien in the Gents Senior grade.

Also taking place this week is the Cement Open Singles which begin on Wednesday (over-55s) and run through to Sunday. Members are encouraged to show your support.

The MacBride Summer League will commence next week - times of play Monday and Tuesday at 6.30pm.
