Open up Paddy Meade Park in Lobinstown!
LOCAL councillor Paddy Meade is certainly making an impact in his home patch around Lobinstown.
He has been campaigning hard for a new playground area for the distrist and managed to secure a level of funding for the project.
So much so, it has come to a stage where a sod turning took place recently with Paddy present - shovel in hand - and a team of volunteers out to celebrate the moment.
His efforts have not gone unnoticed and one of the comments expressed on social media exclaimed - ‘Good man Paddy, can’t wait for the official opening of the “Paddy Meade Park!’
Slane History Society Talk
There will be a talk entitled “The Boyne: From Navan to Staleen” presented by author Anthony Holten and historian Pascal Marry, examining this area of the river, it’s landscape and history.
This will take place in the Slane Youth Cafe on Thursday 14th June at 8.15 pm.
This will be the last meeting of the season for the history group and all are welcome.
