DIFE apply to council to retain all-weather pitch
THE Louth and Meath Education and Training Board is seeking retention permission for the all-weather sports pitch at the rear of the Drogheda Institute of Further Education (DIFE) at The Twenties.
The application, lodged with Louth County Council, seeks to change from the previously permitted grass sports pitch to an all-weather pitch (pictured).
They are also seeking to change the pitch surrounding fence from the granted 1.2m high fence to a pitch surrounding fence that varies in height from 3m-5m.
The application includes two additional floodlighting columns, at the existing sports pitch.
Louth County Council are expected to make a decision on the application by July 22.
