Mid Summer artisan market at Millmount

THE Mid Summer Artisan Market at Millmount Cultural Quarter in Drogheda will be held on the longest day of the year Thursday 21st. June, from 5pm to 9 and entry is free.

Organised by the craft designers, who will be welcoming visitors into their studios, the Market happens outdoors in the square with stalls of crafts, art and food products from around the area. Some of the new faces this year are Juniper Lily Art with mixed media artwork, Anthony Murphy with framed photos of the town and surrounds and Paula Underwood with baby knitwear, to mention but a few.

Visitors will get a chance to observe close up the very of popular local Artist Richard Moore who will be there to demonstrat­e his painting skills. Especially for the children Kieran McNulty is bringing Dr. Haddocks Crazy Aquarium along, it’s drawing fun for the children, a giant chalk board aquarium that they can fill with the fish of their choice.

Providing the smooth jazzy soundtrack for the evening will be Niall Gregory, Baz Leahy and Damien Rooney, the Drogheda Museum will have its doors open for the evening and Richmond Fort will be serving Fish and Chip Suppers.

Free admission and all are welcome.
