International St V de P president coming to town

-

ST Vincent de Paul Drogheda branch is honoured to be able to welcome the international president of the organisation to officially open their new flagship store on the North Road next week.

Global President Renato Lima De Oliveira will visit the town to cut the ribbon on the new shop, which has been accepting donations since earlier they moved in last month.

He will be joined by the national president Kieran Stafford, and members of the public are welcome to join in the auspicious event.

“It is a great honour to have these gentlemen take such an interest in our new location, and it’s a vote of confidence in the work we do in the town,” says local area president Joe Sweeney.

“We are very well supported by the public and volunteers, and we are delighted to be able to show that off to our international colleagues.”

The opening will take place on Tuesday June 26th, between 10.45am and 11.45am, and everyone is welcome to go along.

SVP Drogheda PresidentMichael Grogan said they were delighted with the new location, and people were finding it easier to access, with plenty of space and parking.

‘ There is a huge demand for our services, so we will rely on generous donations of good quality, clean and saleable items for the new premises,” he said. “We hope people will come along on Tuesday to show their support for the charity and give our overseas visitors and warm Drogheda welcome.”
