Six months for having heroin and cannabis at Chord Rd

JAMIE Gallagher (27), Cerney, Sheephouse, Drogheda, has been sentenced to six months imprisonme­nt for having heroin and cannabis in his possession.

Evidence was given he had €25-worth of heroin and €10-worth of cannabis at Chord Road on 25 October last.

Solicitor Dermot Monahan said the defendant sentence since last February.

He added Gallagher, a heroin addict, has been in care most of his life. He has a psychiatri­c condition and there is no support for him.

He has 46 previous conviction­s.
