Rev. Bro. John Gaynor, of the Irish Christian Brothers, returned to Bulawao, Rhodesia, on Sunday last after spending a two month holiday in his native Drogheda.

Bro. Gaynor. who is the elder son of Mr. and Mrs. William Gaynor, Boyne Avenue, Boyne Road, Drogheda, is a nephew of Bro. Thomas Andrews, Kilkenny, and Bro. Anthony Andrews and Mother Di Ricci, Siena Convent, Drogheda.

He was educated at the Drogheda C.B.S. and he entered the Christian Brothers in 1956, receiving further education at Baldoyle, Bray and Marino. As a teacher be taught at Colaiste Mhuire and he was then assigned to Capetown in 1961, being transferre­d to Bulawao in 1966.

Superior of the school is another Louthman, Rev. Bro. Levins, who hails from Sandpit, Termonfeck­in.
