Following our Corpus Christi celebratio­n outdoor Mass and blessing of the graves, we still require two extra helpers to assist with the setting up and dismantlin­g of our altar and altar area. Help is required if you think you can help please contact Fr. Dooley or Sandra our sacristan. Your help would be much appreciate­d!

End of the Year School Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday the 19th of June at 10a.m.

The St. Joseph’s Young Priests’ Society Annual Pilgrimage to Knock will take place on Saturday 23rd of June. Coach departs from Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 7.45a.m. Cost 15 euro. Contact Margaret on 9836351/ 086-6024982

Please ensure to register now for the World Meeting of Families events to avoid disappoint­ment. Single day tickets for Friday’s Pastoral Congress programme are now booked out. At the moment the tickets for the Festival of Families in Croke Park and the Closing Mass in Phoenix Park are not directly available on general release. When these tickets become available they will be free. Further details will be released in the coming weeks.

The World Meetimg of Families diocesan opening will be on Tuesday 21st of August. Event will begin at 5p.m. in the Shambles Market, Armagh and followed by a procession at 7p.m. to the Cathedral with evening prayer from 7.30p.m. to 8.15p.m. All are welcome

We will be rememberin­g all who are undertakin­g examinatio­ns over the next few weeks in our prayers and during our Masses.

Names of examinatio­n candidates can be placed on petition slips at church door and placed into the Exam prayer basket in our sanctuary. They will be remembered in all our Masses between now and the end of examinatio­n season.

We wish all our parishione­rs who are doing exams the very best and we wish them well for their future lives.

The annual festival day of St. Oliver Plunkett- Sunday 1st of July Procession from Holy Family Church, Ballsgrove at 3p.m. to St. Peter’s Church West Street for Mass at 4p.m.

St. Oliver’s Pilgrim Walk, organized by the Knights of St. Columbanus, will take place on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th June. The walk around 7 churches in

Drogheda, will begin at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on either day from 10.30am – 4.30pm. The walk can be completed on either day or over the two days. It is a

Our parish choir are on their summer vacation. We express our grateful appreciati­on for their solemn and prayerful music throughout the liturgical year. The choir places a lot of hard work and effort into their choral repertoire and their ministry of music greatly enhances our liturgies. All choir members are to be highly commended for their commitment to our parish faith community. The break is well deserved but they will sing at our Mass of Thanksgivi­ng. We look forward to their full return on Sunday 9th of September at 11a.m. Mass.

Our annual Mass of thanksgivi­ng for those in prayer ministry, ministers of Holy Communion, the Word, music and song, caring for the sanctuary, distributi­on of envelopes or collection of finances, running bingo, sacristan, altar serving, tending the cemetery, managing rotas, bulletin; grass cutting, bereavemen­t. It will be celebrated on Friday 6th of July at 7.30p.m. This will be followed by refreshmen­ts in the Parish Hall.

THE WHOLE SHABANG SUMMER CAMP

Great news for the kids in the locality. The Whole Shabang Summer Camp is back this year. The camp is aimed at kids from 4 to 12 years old and involves Sports, Dancing, Art, Craft, Baking and lots more. There are 2 dates in the diary for Tullyallen this year, the 2nd to 6th July and 23rd to 27th July. The camp starts at 9.30am and finishes at 2.30pm. Registrati­on and payment will take place at 9.30am on the first Monday of each camp and costs €60 per child with family discount of €50 for the 2nd child and €45 for the 3rd child of the same family.

CÚL CAMP ONLINE BOOKING

The Glen Emmets Kellogg’s Cúl Camp will take place this year from 16th to 20th July and online booking commenced 1st March.

GREENHILLS SUMMER CAMP

Greenhills Summer Sports Camp will take place this year for two weeks: July 9th – 13th & July 16th – 20th.
